Relationships

Hello Folks,

Just a while back I was watching this video on what makes you happy...the gist is as follows

Interesting study on "what makes you happy?". The "happy junction" blog I have been stressing upon, is more or less close to the study of Dr. Robert Waldinger. But many call me or my views as "emotional" and philosophical. Sometimes I was carried-away with such criticism. But felt happy after viewing this video - TED talk by Robert Waldinger. The following most important factors that makes everyone happy are...

1. Having good connections in the society
2. Having a quality of close relationships around us
3. Good relationships protects not just body but also brain. This implies, a very happy individual who enjoys a good relationships, also maintains a good health, therefore he holds strong memory than people who deprived relationships

Emoji

Emoji…Happyji

Hi folks, good to connect with you again. After the smartphone revolution, there is a lot of evolution in our communication process, definitely there is a change the way we connect with community. Completely a new transition for sure. There were days where we used to say “can you SMS me your…”, now please “waatsap me your….”

In fact, mobile has taken over our mobility and made us as “Inability” infants. Because of our Inability to meet our friends, Inability to meet our relatives, to connect with the banks, to connect street groceries, to say hello to neighbors, to say hello grandpas, grandmas; surprisingly we also started offering Aarti, lighting of lamps and candle lighting to our Gods and goddesses through mobile.

Now, thanks to WhatsApp (other message platforms) which is connecting the world through WiFi (2, 3,4Gs) and now slowly it is making an attempt to replace the Wifeee’;) WhatsApp is also helping in reducing the bandwidth of Husbands too. The speed of connecting and disconnecting boyfriend-girlfriend relations are too scary ;). I remember my mother asking repeatedly whether I am hungry or not looking at my face, but today most of mothers has to see their children facebook's wall posts about their children's appetite

When I started using these apps like you (not you), like any other person ;), I have realized the reason behind this constant use of apps has new set-up (culture) called Waatsup instead of Catchup :)  with smiles, Namaskaars, winks, blushing, confused, surprised, claps, love and broken heart, punch etc are something which constantly pressing in our minds & hands. We use these emoticons so much on day-to-day, when we see same person suddenly, our actual emotions are underplaying due to these emotions. In other words, the receiver perceives us as personality of less emotions or no emotions; which is again a disastrous conclusions. For human being to survive and sustain, these emotions play a very major role not just from the professional perspectives but also mostly into their personal spaces. Of course, I might scoreless in this argument but definitely has a possibility of hindrances at later point of time.

I think there is a need to develop new ways and technologies that increase actual human contact and physical communication? Few days back I was in a function and saw 50 faces buried into small glowing screens instead of talking, smiling and interconnecting. Thanks to smartphone apps, how we communicate and express emotion might be faster and to a wider audience today, but it's also simultaneously disconnecting us just as fast with our fellow humans.

No longer are we catching up for coffee and laughs, caroms for tea-break etc. WhatsApps, FBs, Twitters are bringing us closer but as humans, we are running far from the personal touch with bunch of people in this small world called you and me

I am sure, time will have an answer to it…at the moment enjoy with Emoji and be happy ji. Do write your emos while having MoMos….Happy Times ahead :)

Happy Teachers' Day

Happy Teachers' Day
Coming Soon on Adoption...

Every year whenever calendar shows "September 5" as teachers' day, it gives me a sense of satisfaction that I am a foster-son of Prof S C Sarma /Sita Sarma).  This particular post is dedicated to both Sarma & Sarma; I may be breathing because of my bio-parents, but if am living/experiencing the life it certainly because of Sarmas. Both of them have made a significant impact among the students, their next generations and many who associated with them.

It reminds me a statement made by Chairman of NCERT during an event at Delhi, especially after Father's speech & his felicitation; "Prof Sarma, you are a son of Saraswati", my father has replied with a wit by saying "Dr Rajasekharan Pillai ji, I am not sure, whether  am I Saraswati putra or not, but certainly not Lakshmi Putra", the complete auditorium was spellbound and applauded for his contribution to teacher education

Will miss them ever, especially when there is a vacuum of affection (edited Jan 14,2020)

Echo of Happiness

Just listen to this music: https://soundcloud.com/talktokill/echo-happiness while you read this blog

Nothingness is the Echo of Happiness

Hello folks,

New Year greetings to you and your family members!

The other day I have heard a voice called “you are not my happiness” which has been echoing for a very long time and continuing to do so. I tried to ignore but it has been gone deeply into me. For the reasons unknown, my situations compiled me to feel like dejected, Lot of vacuum in it, unfulfilled and not so clear. I know it is just a frame of mind and body of emotions, nothing else! Probably these are the echo of the emergence of material existence which occurred to man (woman) fourteen billion years ago, and the roadmap to its ultimate destination is nothingness

However educated we are, whatever exposure we get, however devoted we are, however spiritual we are, the ultimate destination is to derive happiness out of our own actions. Where this happiness does sit? When thinking went beyond my tears, I realized it occupies at the helm of Nothingness. Now the question stuck to me to know more about Nothingness. In the process of knowing the beauty of nothingness, I also happened to understand the something-ness.

After glancing through the concept of Nothingness, it is just infinite and some-thingness is finite. For example, take numbers from 1-9, it has finite values on its own and whereas ZERO has no value (nothing). But it is nothingness which makes a number into an infinite number. i.e (99+1 = 100, 999+1=1000 etc). The most incredible thing in mathematics is the zero, and this did not come by accident. It is from a certain realization. When people looked inward and fell into the void of nothingness, the zero was born.

Similarly, the finite characters like love, affection, care, intimacy have always seen with a distinct eye. Eye of physicality, eye of economics; these “eyes” ingrained in our minds. Whereas mind is always accumulative, accumulative of knowledge, accumulation of people etc, and accumulation of unfulfilled desires. It means if my mind has some vacuum in it or aspires for more, it desires for those finite love, affection, money etc., If I empty it without any numbers but just keep adding zeros (nothing about it), then it is just an echo of happiness around us.

To the best of my understanding, nothingness can be achieved only if I add zero to my physical desires (even if I counter / encounter or no counter with it) and add value of zero to the accumulative wealth irrespective of priorities. When you practice the Nothingness, then only emptiness arises, Grace descends upon you. Without Grace, no one really gets anywhere. If you need to experience Grace, your somethingness has to become totally empty. Happiness evolves organically

Inevitable

Inevitable

If this moment is inevitable, why do we keep visiting past?

If this moment is inevitable, why do we predict the future
Hence, it’s always better to invite the happiness at this moment.

Don’t carry baggage of thoughts. Certain moments we spent with our loved ones acts like energy inductors.

Please revisit. I know It’s inevitable for you too

Philosophy of Dearness

When I coined the term “Philosophy of Dearness” and wanted to check if there is something already on the social spectrum. Interestingly the google was suggesting “Philosophy of Darkness”. This gave me a lot of inquisitiveness to write about it and its relevance to dearness and there by its relevance to Happiness

The whole cosmos has born out of darkness. Practically speaking, we never had an opportunity to experience the real darkness in our day-to-day lives. When power is off, the candle light (or UPS) gives us the direction. Parents show the light of path to children by taking loads of responsibility. Father books a Tatkal ticket to his daughter; mother stores extra pocket money in kitchen for her son. Boy friend takes more care of his girl than himself; Teacher preaches more about life skills of his students than his children.

When I look upon above these above acts, there is one common thread that keeps all intact is – Dearness. Because of our dearness to someone, we tend it takeout the darkness from the situation. I firmly believe no one can remove darkness in our lives, because it’s natural and purest form. But one can bring the light through various acts in ones’ life.

Relationships give more emphasis on Dearness. Sometimes it’s difficult to gage its connection with an individual. But the common cord of dearness that plays a soothing music between.

When I was pursuing my PhD, it was full of darkness. Applied and got rejected without knowing the reasons. Again applied and got its acceptance due to dearness. After its manifold directions, I could complete the PhD. The only factor that made me to complete the task was…my dearness to darkness. My special thanks to SCSVMV University, FICCI & my association with corporate India and for their guidance in dark.

Darkness creates manifold of happiness. It’s just in the room of dearness. Access it

Politics of Happiness

Dear Folks,

Though I haven’t penned my thoughts on happiness in the year 2013, but want to fill the gap of these 12 months with one write-up on Politics of Happiness!

2013 was somehow for me an acuminous year with lot of vacuum in it. Started thinking in a mystic way; especially after attending 3 day workshop of Sadhguru. Had some sleepless nights at hospitals and some oversleeping days during weekends due to family hiccups. In fact I was placed like a flying kite till May 14, 2013 and suddenly the God-fall (windfall) has taken away the thread that was holding kite with love, affection and affirmative vibes. Surprisingly, the kite is still on and busy with its professional and personal antics.

This reminds me that nothing stops you and me, the time shows us a way and answers to all the queries we have. What I have learned from the demise of my mother is to accept the fact. The fact is that our lives are straight-line with lots curves in it; straight-line has a beginning and ending with a constant called happiness. Search the happiness which is within you.

Being a constant observer of politics among various dimensions like – political politics, family politics, and organization politics and so on; this idea takes me a cue to write on this. My childhood stint at Vizianagaram reminds me about those women who used finish their work much before sun touches his own mother land. They used to sit on “Arugu” (modern name called - balconies of their home) and watch what’s happening around them. Some give advises; some poke into lives of neighbor to make their life nightmare etc. if you observe all they derive is happiness out of wellbeing (not wellbeing too).

Similarly my stint as student, I observe similar scenarios in breeding happiness out of my peers’ wellbeing (not wellbeing too); in both aforesaid scenarios, either of the parties captures the happiness.

Coming to most important life, being working in an office environment and generate fun out of colleagues. Here I differ the outcome of happiness from the above two examples; the above two examples are more part of human eco system. Where as in a professional environment it appears to be saving one’s own cushion by throwing thorns at others seat. It is also called as Politics of Happiness! Don’t we/our peers / our managers stalk our happiness without politics? The answer could be - we brew happiness based on prejudice, self assessment/ fabrication of issues / interest / protection our jobs (work/assignment etc). I may have to rethink/accept that – the happiness is completely depending upon the external & internal environments where we govern our activities.

For example, I was surprised (J) to see AAP which was dead against Congress rule in Delhi and so as BJP elsewhere. Where and how AAP’s happiness has brewed to make congress happy (or Delhi Happy) need to observe with pinch of salt. But watching these elections or above stated examples are politics of Happiness. It has become a learning place for many :)

Is Politics an ingredient of our Happiness? J, just leave your comments with Happiness

Happy New Year and God bless with lots Happiness, Good Health, Wealth and Welfare to all mankind

Going that extra mile is a happy mile

Going that extra mile is a happy mile…

Hello my dear happy bloggers and blog readers! Its being a very long time since I inked my ideas at Happy Junction. Happy 2012…
For last few days…I have been virtually on cycle (motor) and breaking at various places with in the city and at times out of the city. The purposes are many, some for good and some for bad. These purposes are predominately on personal end….here you go and ask my self “why this “Kolavari di?”
The answer for above question…the answer was echoing me as ‘cycle’; again I asked for myself, its again echoing as same synonym “wheel”…again I tried and this time it was echoing as “ball”; its was surprising for me too! As usual got little deep into these answers…
  • Technically our mother earth it self is like a ball and works like cycle (clock time, seasons etc) and of course with little variations
  • During parenting times we roll on with kids and live with permutation and combinations of Yes, No to make them happy and grow healthy.
  • When we roll on with our work …which one to prioritize between personal and professional, between activity to activity and at times among bundle of issues.
More importantly when we meet people and their ideologies, it’s again rolling our minds for which one to accept and which one to deny. At times we are the benefactors of these subject matters and at times we do use tissues to solve these issues. For example, relative of mine badly needed my support to have passport on tatkal. There were some major discrepancies which gave me some kind of speed breakers till the final submission and acceptance by passport office. If I do there could be one issue, if I don’t do…another tissue. But going that one extra mile of finishing the task gave me a sense of happiness.
Unfortunately this morning I attended a death ceremony and found people around that person bargaining with an ambulance driver for about few rupees to pay. Interestingly the person who bargained didn’t even paid single penny for anything. But still his (most of us too) ideas and ideologies run around that. Can’t we go that extra mile to give happiness to driver of the last journey? Can’t we go that extra mile to give happiness to our customers? Can’t we go that extra mile to give a smile to your friends, colleagues, relatives and companies that we associate…? Are we scared of the quantum of extra mile???...love that extra mile.

I always tried doing cycling for that extra mile with lot of constructive and destructive criticism, as I said; I am a benefactor and most of the times I am not. But in both the scenarios…I am a very happy soul...
God Bless and lets meet-up soon with your comments...

Happy New Year

Dear Folks,

Happy New year to all my beloved readers of this blog. When I was keying in what to write this New Year, initially had the scarcity of thoughts & ideas. But suddenly a question came-up in my mind to ‘why do we wish’ at all in this New Year. There were occasions, I missed wishing somebody on their birthdays / or on festival days. But invariably we don’t miss to wish on New Year…why? Now, I know…same rat is moving around in your mind too?

On 1st January, 2011; I was lost….and seriously thinking why…, in the evening, me and mother was watching series of programmes on TV. As all of you aware, we watch less of programme and more of ads. When I tried to distinguish between both from the point of content, both are more or less same. For example…Cadbury's Subharaambh ad (A boy starting his day by dropping a girl to her home, of course eating  Cadbury ) ; or hero driving 100 hours km/ per minute to catch heroin by trashing somebody  in a movie). Seems to pretty same. I told my mother that all ads and movies, serials etc from the ages concentrate on only one aspect and have been severely circumscribed by the concept of Love. Surprisingly, she agreed and reiterated stating that ‘love’ is not a recent phenomenon, but a very very very very old one.

Let’s swap to mythology for a moment, in Bhagavata Puranam, even “Madam Rukmini’ sent a letter through a bearer to Lord Krishna about her love. http://www.stutimandal.com/gif_bhgvt/rukmini_sandesh.htm (http://www.indianetzone.com/33/rukmini_wife_lord_krishna.htm) receiving that letter, Krishna went to Vidarbha to marry her after couple of deliberations (how to convince, how to fight when someone opposes etc). Apparently Krishna won the hearts of people and married to madam Rukmini on December 31....

wish it was 3G telecom era, had Rukmini sent one SMS to Krishna , all problems wouldn’t have come… (I did…and got nice bashing call from my Rukmini :)

Back to our ad, I realized that it’s all about Love and making happy through that love, we call people to wish Happy New Year. It is a symbol of marring happiness; marring new relationships and marrying your loved ones, marrying lost memories etc. Since we can not wish everybody…very year…happy marry year, we wish happy New Year...this the Rationale behind Subharambh….

I wish this year….all of you marry to Mr & Ms. Fun, Mr. & Ms. Good Health and Wealth….make a blasting year of brightness with your goodness

Thank you

Yours Ravi Kiran

Hi Folks

Namashkaar! Namaskaram! Namashkaara! & Vanakkam

Busyness and Business go along with us to escape from the creative works that we would like to do. Take little time from both activities of Busyness & Business to make others happy. I try to make others happy, but invariably miss my Ms. Happiness.

Today morning interesting message was flashing in my inbox was "No one is born happy. But all of us are born with ability to create happiness...so today, make others happy, flash sweetest smile:)"

I believe the happiness is in us and outside. But both are Inter-dependently operated in every nanosecond in our lives; in fact it is more fluctuating than the ECG...just for example, I am very happy while… I buy something for my family folks, at the same time, feels pain for not able to buy for my other close friend(s) or someone whom I am close to...doesn't react to my feelings.. It means your happiness quotient has to skew either sides of positive or negative. I am not happy, I am happy are only objective replies. I reply saying am Happy, may be not. I do reply saying I am not happy, but inside celebrating. Happiness has multifaceted ability. Create the Happiness (from the above msg), but don't consume....because it was never meant for you...just like open happiness in coke ad…; but virtually you open your valet but not happiness J

Wish you a very happy and wonderful New year to all my folks, with whom I associated in my every hours of life / days’ life / years’ life. With out you…my thoughts can not be inked (wavering thoughts to wao thoughts). Will meet in our daily walks of life with lot more surprises and happiness soon in the year 2011.

Happy New Year and Happy Years ahead!

Yours Ravi Kiran

economics of Happiness

Fear fractures the Economics of Happiness…

Hello my dear bloggers and readers…

Due to fear of thoughts, all these days were fractured with no write-up of mine. But today when I was driving a car of 1850s (Tata Indica) along with 70 year old mother who always thinks as 17 and 40 year old brother who reflects his image in mirror as 80. Of course I am confused to say about my age since I may sail in both directions. My mother & Bro have to go to Vijayawada to wind-up certain financial commitments. As always we try to catch-up things last moment, booked a rail ticket in 2nd class where computer mahasay has given two upper-berths but not AC/lower berths(Thanks to Mamata Banarjee’s idea of 2 day b4 Tatkal), we wasted already one day due to India-Srilanka saga of cricket. Finally got confirmed ticket, interesting thing is that confirmation is for IRCTC but not to a passenger (my Bro). He has been coining the ideas of skipping the train travel to Road (by car). Whereas Google Maps were showing PoK / PAK floods submerged in Indian floods, due to this, the idea was dropped.

After got into train, mother says find-out a young person who has confirmed lower-berth ticket. Before I start working on her instruction, my little servant-maid (boy) already downloaded lower-berth occupant girls’ list. Alas, meanwhile, my bro was scratching his head ‘how to place my mother on middle birth’? I started requesting few fellow passengers; surprisingly I had competition here too. A lady was competing to get her cake first. In the process, I happened talk to few young guys (could be in their 30s), despite of my request, none could extend their hand. Their rejection made me to think about my close friend, who sees an opportunity to get-up and offer a seat when oldies travel; baby mothers who struggle to reach their destination (love you friend for your pro-activeness).

This is where; my mind & heart started talking each-other again. If I think about bro who is very caring but failed to understand the economics of happiness. He was keen to get down from the train after it shows green signal (after arrangements made at town). He is too shy to ask somebody who can offer a lower birth; the other guys think that their journey of lower-birth is forever. This could be because of fear. Don’t you think so…?

In first case, brother has a fear that he & mom has to struggle to reach the destination (my argument was driving car when inflation was high is not good signal), those uncooperative guys has a fear of sleep disturbance. In between the sandwiched mother has fear where she has to get-down from the middle-birth (if need arises). Even my friend who is proactive in offering her seat others also has a fear, where her fellow-passenger will struggle.

But finally my mother reached safely despite of all the fears. If we have to bring the happiness in our lives, we have to struggle for short time (I cannot measure); be it in journey of rail travel, journey of life travel. But conditions apply…that is the Economics of Happiness has to go hand in hand with extending hands.

Economics of Happiness works very similar to our regular economics. In regular one, it is more emphasized on supply & demand of goods & services with constant called Paisa. In case of economics of happiness, it is the supply & demand of emotions. It is more important than the other but has to depend upon constant called Paisa.

Shelter shelters happiness

Dear Folks,

Good times!

Thank you for visiting my blog after a long time. I feel it’s difficult to pen-down our thoughts when we don’t find a perfect shelter. I strongly believe that the Shelter shelters happiness. If we have a good shelter, thoughts rejuvenates in to action.

Few weeks back I was driving down to my cousin’s place in Bangalore after finishing work in BIM Bangalore. When I kick started vehicle, the sky was blue, when I turned-down my petrol-knob to reserve, the sky turned to black and ready to hug with its cool-breeze and shower to roadies. Suddenly I realized I am not alone; with me there were few books and cloths also travelling. Hence I could not venture to get drenched. I was desperately looking for a shelter to cover my books at least. From a stones-throw away distance, I could see a lower-bridge and rushed there with my friends (Scooty n Books). Thanks to Bangalore Mahanagar Palike, who is the reason for such a fantastic ideas having lower bridges across ring-roads. I stopped at the lower bridge and waiting for the rain to stop. Even though it was raining, I could see some take the liberty of getting drenched, especially youngsters and couples. But I am happy, my books were safe. Now, my mind pouring the question called, what is this shelter and how it shelters happiness?

I am sure, you are also thinking how…

Just rewind the situation, if you observe, the shelter is not exactly the reason for Ravi’s happiness, but the ‘books are in safe’ feeling made him happy and fortunately ‘shelter called – lower bridge’ was part of his happiness. Confused??

Let me take you in different route, having sheltered at lower bridge, if his belongings get wet and damaged, happiness quotient would have been negative. It means shelter should shelter your needs and desires. Out of my curiosity I referred the meaning of shelter it implies

From the above synonyms, it’s not only protecting but also make you feel like heaven (happy). The connection between shelters versus happiness reminds me way back in 1997, where my nephew born and he was travelling like a NEWS covering apna bharath (Delhi – Kashmir – Calcutta - Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Bombay – New back to Delhi), just after few minutes of returning to home (Delhi), he had taken a long breath and gave a cute smile. (Note: all this happened when he was day’s baby and most of the time he was sleeping), observing this, I was astonished how an infant baby can give importance to his own shelter. I am sure; you all may have experienced similar feeling no matter whether you are returning from work or from elsewhere.

Just think little deep into it, our body, mind and heart (feelings) are connected to two kinds of shelters. One is emotional shelter and other is empirical shelter. To give more clarity, emotional shelters are more independent in nature but invariably depend upon empirical shelter. For example, if you travel hundreds of miles to see your loved-ones (by Bus, Train, Auto and taking lift etc), if that person does not respond to your feelings, interests and desires, you will be completely turned-off…not because you have sheltered in an unreserved compartment, but your folks are reserved with you.

Another interesting observation, my sister calls home every day and chitchat with mother for a long time. For some reason if she doesn’t call, my mother starts looking at digital clock and keeps her ears at phone (ring) and works at kitchen. Following day, Amma’s idly becomes Iddiyappam shape, dosa develop into Chapati shape. Vice-versa situation at sister’s place too. Here both are sheltered in their own respective houses, but their mobile / telephone didn’t bridge emotional shelters. Another friend of mine, if he does not make a call / receive a call from his partner, he not only looks at his wrist-watch but also twists his head to dry

Our emotional shelters are superset of empirical shelters. If both start working, all our shelter shelters happiness. Happy shelters will make you heaven. Otherwise it just shatters.
Let me find my lost shelters meanwhile…happy reading!

Is Policies packs your happiness off???

Dear policy makers and policy marketers, good to meet you on different occasions. I and roommate always have a point of contention about the theme called policies and procedures. He believes P&P are not important; where as I stand on the other side. Where do you stand…?

Is it really important to have P&P? Does it have any impact on the growth of the organization OR on the individual? When I asked the same question, the audience poll is more interested to have Britannia 50:50.

Few months back I had a meeting with HR concern of India’s largest construction company regarding my research data survey (L&T). After appreciating about my endevours, the answer was “Ravi…we cannot consider your request since our policy does not allow / no provision to collect the information from employees”; similar answers are keeping popping-up in my inbox and phone calls.

In other occasion, I met an interesting company who does lot of surveys for global organizations, when they approached us for filling customer information survey for one sector, we could help to the maximum extent to finish the project. Surprisingly, when I approached same organization today, they have turned-down my request since policy does not permit to take the pie from it (E&Y). You might assume that I expressed out of biased feeling but definitely not. It is my own experience. It may not be true in other cases.

Polices &Procedures document is basically a navigator of organizations. But ironically it has become a CERTIFICATE OF FEAR & CERTIFICATE OF CONFUSION. We are fear of what happens if we follow, fear of consequences, fear of uncertainty and finally it is packing your happiness off from the individual to a large extent.

To my little knowledge and experience, I feel the policies and procedures are important but at the same time it needs flexibility in it. At macro level it required in protecting organization and at micro level it requires to support of individual.

Packing Happiness in our lives or packing off from us is decided by P&P???

Loneliness locks happiness

Loneliness locks happiness
My dear blogger and blog readers…I am back with a new streak after a long time. It striked me after so many additions / deletions of various themes. Suddenly... I was feeling 'lonely' for quite some time…may be for the last few years. But if you see, I was not. I have a comp at home, music player in hand, room-mate at room…classmates at various intervals, family members, friends and well-wishers at various wishes. But still feels lonely. I was confused…one day I asked my friend, he/she inferred it as “it’s your mind-set”. I have tuned and trying to various frequencies to find out what is the loneliness all about. But I am not able to buy the statement “mind-set”. Do you???

Initially, I was thinking may be he / she is right, but suddenly one day, I was in a place where everything is available to eat, lots of people to talk, so many devises to engage and in fact I was operating all simultaneously. But still something I was missing. Then suddenly I remembered the so called ‘mind-set’…and laughed myself, though I was setting my mind to eat, talk and listen…but still something was bothering me. That gave me the answer…that I am alone. So went back and shared the same with my friend, again the same sound knocked to my ears. It is your mind-set.

I realized, often we use this word to compromise in our lives. But to the best of my opinion, it is not your mind-set; it is what your heart (feeling / concern(s)) consumes and what not. Our modern thinkers say do what your heart says…that gives you maximum satisfaction in life. But still we don’t, because you we are in a fear. Fear of ourselves, fear of others, fear of society, fear of job, and finally fear of survival. If you see all these are subjective. That is your state of mind. We are so subjective, that tunes our minds and turns off our hearts. In fact we have set our minds to the hook of fear and call it as reality. When we portray reality…the heart start feeling wish I could have done…

Thanks to this mechanical life, our mind machine overloaded with lots of commitments and responsibilities and heart hardly gets it share to express his/her wishes. Then we start feeling we are alone. That is when we get attack…on our heart(s) and say bye-bye to present state of mind.

In fact, today I had a very heated argument with my guys / gals here, there all are in mindset called reality, but reality is being tuned by your mind. You can change the way you wanted.

Dhirubhai Ambani gave birth to 3, one his heart called Reliance, two, his two sons called A&M Ambanis, A & M are the two different mind-sets, but reality is they did not leave their fathers’ one ambition. that is Make it larger than shareholders expectation (Reliance).

It is not Philosophy, but a psychological chemical. Mind and Heart both are required to Engage for a success of human being.

Teachers Day Happy Days

It was a pleasant morning on 5th September 2009, got up after I heard my neighbor’s cooker whistle. Immediately looked at my watch, it was around 7ish. I just keyed in my mobile with ‘Happy Teachers Day’ text and immediately sent to my father, I knew I may not get reply back,

felt bad but moved on to next contacts and keep sending to all my teaching fraternity. Surprisingly few contacts are neither my teachers nor into teaching, but felt like I should send and sent it. I know, you have a question here, why did I send to other than teachers??? My answer is, when we

born, not necessary that our parents are from academia. But still they taught (walk in life); whether we like or not, still learning from them. Siblings must have taught us fight with affection; move on to our friends, they must have taught how to live in this complicated and with multifarious (ferocious) society. When we started working, our colleagues must have taught how cope-up with them.

Interestingly, in my contacts, I have few contacts that are younger to me and few are children too. I sent the same message. Again you are wondering why I did. Sometime back when I was in close associate’s home, I was playing with his 2 year old son. Suddenly his ball slipped from his buddy hands and went below the cot. As usual, 24 month old baby made at least 240 attempts to reach below the bed for his ball. When he realized it is out of his reach, his pink cheeks got wet. In his attempts, we can learn his determination, in his cry, we can learn the need for that ball, and it is an alarm for us that baby required a support from us. It is learning for us; for everybody. Similarly, if somebody cries for you, it means they need you. It is better to address their tears rather avoiding them. One quick observation, the present generation kids always teach an elder, they call it as Generation Gap. We observing that for generations, we still don’t want to learn. Learning happens at every stage in our lives. In this life, we meet so many people and pupils. It is always fun to learn from the both. I am missing my School, College and PGP office. What I learnt is missing… Happy Learning…Happy Teachers day

ebank

Banking with E
My dear happy folks, Few days back I was walking through a street and found so many banks in that street. Starting from Allahabad Bank to Yes Bank and almost all banks are on with customers. While stepping-out of the street, I was thinking what is there in Money. Of course it reminded me the barter system I studied, but I felt beyond transactions it has something in it.Again I withdraw the thought process, but surprisingly while I was doing every transaction, something in my mind was counting. Again I deposited my thoughts in it. But this time I started observing others while they do anything with Money.
I started observing my Mother…she wants to present a gift to her grandson on his first birthday and she took every possible step to understand various financial products and finally she zero downed to one with LIC children plan. The day she finished the task, she has great relief with happiness on her face. Similarly, few years back, on my nephew’s birthday, my sister paid few thousands as tip to a restaurant bearer; when I asked her why did you pay so much, her reply was “let him be happy once in a while, hardly people look at him”. Recently my colleague when to Singapore, there she bought something for me…when I asked her…why did you spend so much…her reply and the gift has

lot of interest in it. The other partner of mine, got up early morning around 4.00 and made wonderful sweet, when I asked…why did you spend so much of money and time, her reply relied on happiness of the people who ate. Recently I have received an imported pen drive cum MP3 player from my friend, he warned me before giving; kill you if you don’t use it for yourself. I could see his affection in it.
Few months back I was in five star hotel’s restroom where plasma TV was installed there and I was washing my face, the neighbor of mine was unable to perform his nature’s call duty due to sudden market crash on CNBC share bulletin, he was quite emotional and went away from the conference. From all the examples if you observe, everybody has transacted with some or the other. In order to transact, I am sure, they would have used Cheque/Debit/Credit/epay/ net banking etc what not to withdraw the money for those transactions. When I transact for my loved ones…I feel more than delighted. Can you guess why do we do / are doing?
To the best of my fixed deposits (knowledge), for every transaction, we closely associate with eBank. With this eBank, whatever cash balance you have in your account, whatever difficulties you have, still you will manage to transact. You really don’t bother immediate or any returns from it. Because in this bank you must deposited lifelong money called Emotions and guarantee called heartfelt relations. Without these emotions we may not live and leave.
Now won’t you agree why SBI / ICICI / Axis Bank are India’s largest banks…because they have lot of emotional accounts of individuals and corporates?
Everything is there in MONeY, but MONeY is not Everything
Banking with Emotions, Happy Emotions

Brewing Happiness

Brewing Happiness through Brands
Hello Everybody, Being summer, somehow I wasn’t able to sleep since long, here in Chennai. Last year, I was sleeping till I heard the breakfast bell in my guesthouse at Bangalore. Wish the same luxury bolts in again…today got up early and went to the rest room with Oral-B brush, Himalaya toothpaste and came-out after a shower with new Himalaya anti-dandruff shampoo with Cinthol lime soap bath. Searching for a Cycle Agarbathi to say good morning to God and lighting the lamp with Uddayam Oil. Looking for Britannia bread with mother’s recipe pickle, hurly burly ironing the blue stripes The Cottons shirt; namke vaste polishing the woodland shoes and locking the room with Godrej keys….and drive Hero Honda via Women's Christian College to FICCI office and have lunch at Taj Connemera after the seminar. Come back to room and login in my Dell desktop; play Sony Music and have Nestle Curd with Basmathi Rice. In between engaging with my Sony Erickson mobile and express my voices with all my loved ones. This is my routine in a day.
This afternoon while I was in Pothy’s signal...what these names are and why are we so attached to these names starting from Bangalore to loved ones via Sony…
My experience and education says its' called Brand, my heart says something else. I mean if you apply the reverse gear and keep going to my bold and italic words, Bangalore brewed my thought process and the way I look at the things especially in my second stint with more fun in previous stint. Himalaya protected me in bad mouthing, Cinthol allowed me to stand next to you confidently. Blue striped Cotton shirt gave me a better look. Woodland walked through every hinterland without hurting me. Hero Honda despite of its age never stopped me from my punctuality; thanks to WCC and guys for showing me all the possible shortcuts to reach my office. Thanks to FICCI before I getup from the bed, you are in to leading the Nation Northwards. The activity list goes on….and on…finally thanks to my Sony Erickson for being with me in connecting my loved ones despite of my long innings of discussions. Thanks to Good night from the bloody bites. Finally thanking God for being with me (us) in exploring and experimenting. Hmmm…forgot to mention, my Titan watch….thanks for being with me in my tough times and giving breathing time.
If you count on each activity, it is a promise but not a brand. It’s just a promise experienced by you your neighbours, your loved ones. Cannot believe na??
From the above list, the promise is being brewed by my loved ones. Bangalore promised me a better and happy living due to my parents. Himalaya gave me coolness and made me ‘be cool’ due to my sister who suggested me to use. The Cotton shirt that was gifted to me whom I adore larger than life. The Pen I ink it from staples is from my navigator who ad colours to my life. Hero Honda was given by my close associate who directs me often. WCC showed by the Chennaites who smiled at me when I was in hurry to reach office. FICCI is my employer who currently furnishing me all the above ones.
Now don’t you feel it’s a promise brewed by your loved ones and we named it as Brand. To brew the brand, you don’t need brand ambassadors or advertisements; you need a relationship and those relationships that make you happy eternally through these names. Brew your promises and fulfill it. Brew the Relationship, Brands brew your happiness. Just Do it…

Compatibility

CDs:Compatible Dear
Hi Folks,Happy Blogging! Finally my blog has 100 plus hits on happiness.
Hope this summer summarizing all your trips with your family members, but this time my luck didn’t smile at me when I want to meet my intimate on her birthday. The trip was called off due to a sudden regional turmoil of politics.
Few days back, I and my friend logged into a home-appliance showroom to buy a video player. While observing so many brands with confusing tags, my friend picked-up one stylish and a trendy player. As Indian typical customer, we asked the store guy to check the product. The store manager with lots of enthusiasm, happiness on his face made us more curious to hear / see the output of the player. But it was not for a long time, store guy making his best efforts in playing that trendy player, plugged in all the necessary cables, inserted compact disk….every damn possible thing he made. My friend being a software coax, he keyed all possible ways. But all his efforts went in vain. Before we shifted to another brand, I just wanted to make a last attempt to see what could be the reason; we requested the store guy to change the Compact Disk. Hope started beating on us, trust me…it’s a perfect match between the Trendy and Tidy Disk. Finally we just laughed and billed the same.
Still wondering where went wrong…is the player? or influenced by the player (CD, speakers, screen etc).
Few days back I had been to my relatives' place where I met her after a long time. If I recollect my meeting with her was close to 4-5 years back where she was very calm and living in a reclusive atmosphere. I could make-out there could be 4 to 5 hundred problems knocking at her every day. Assuming that, I was reserved till I knock the door. But the moment, I stepped into their place, believe me, the warmness has coolness in her reception along with her spouse and a kutty Dog. I must say, now she has 4-5 thousand elephants’ strength and smiley faces around her. After spending a good time with the rejuvenate’ couple who track our tradition and customs with love and affection, I re-energized myself to drive down in a traffic ridden area to reach my room.
Thanking God for bringing her smile back. But again one question that stocked in my mind was reasons behind her (our) smile, added to the above Trendy scene which amused me to think further down. How a changed compact Disk can make my friend happy, how a changed spouse can add more glory to her life.
The uncompromised answer is…in our compact lives, the compatibility is something very very important.
Let’s think for a while, if I wouldn’t suggest my friend to change the CD, probably he would have compromised to buy a brand which would have had a toll (loss) on him. Of course, by telling this to God, we would have adjusted with the same for some more time. Similarly, my relative too with more pain and grief till her last breath.
You may also argue that it’s not possible without compromising and adjusting….days can not move in smooth. I totally agree, the same compromise and adjustments has to be a part of compatibility but not act as a force / direct the compatibility of 'two individuals' / among ourselves / or even two products like I mentioned in the above. If it forces you to do against your will, you are adjusting out of fear. You are compromising out of inability or helpless situations.
Life is all about being happy, you have every liberty, right to change the way you wanted to. Let’s not suppress ourselves, our emotions and lives with Adjustments and Compromises buttons. This is precisely we do by looking at the so called society. (We are living with the society and not for society) PRESS THE COMPATIBILITY BUTTON…and CONTINUE TO BE HAPPY.
